Edy Ferguson (b. Chicago) lives and works in London UK.  She completed her MFA at Hunter College, City of New York, and her BFA at Washington University in St. Louis where she was awarded The Fred Conway Art Award.

 

Her work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions internationally including Goldsmiths University of London MA Program, (Group 2022);  Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts for The Yangling Mausoleum and Museum in Xi’an China, (Group 2019);  The House of St. Barnabas, London (Solo 2016); The Torun Center of Contemporary Art, Poland, (Group 2015);  CCA Print Galleries, Jersey (Solo 2015);  Thomas Bernhard Gallery - Cortex Athletics, Paris (Solo 2014);  Art/Geneve Solo Project, Switzerland, (Solo 2014);  Bernier/Eliades Gallery, Athens, Greece (Solo 2013);  Faggionato Fine Arts, London, (Solo 2013);  The Centre d’Arte Contemporain in Geneva (Solo 2012-2013);  The 2nd Biennale in Mardin, Turkey (Solo 2012);  The Benaki Museum–Pireos Annex, Athens (Solo 2012);  Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens (Group 2011);  Nantes Arts Festival, France (Solo 1998-1999);  MOMA PS1 International Studio Exhibition, New York (Group 1998). 

 

Ferguson is included in numerous public collections worldwide including The George Economou Collection in Athens, Greece, The Barbier-Mueller Collection in Geneva, The Lampert Collection (LAC), Anthea Art Investments Switzerland, The Colin De Land American Fine Arts and Pat Hearn Archives, The State Museum of Tyrol, Austria, and The Museo de Arte Acarigua-Araure, Venezuela.  She has attended residencies at The Xi’an Academy of Fine Art in China - International Public Art Workshop (2019); The Petrol Station, London (2018);  Athens School of Arts - Erasmus in Crete and Hydra Island (2010 - 2013);  The State Museum Tyrol, Watercolour Painting Residency, Austria (2009) amongst others. 

 

Ferguson will be teaching Contemporary Painting at Xi’an Academy of Art, China in Autumn of 2024.
